One man's terrorist is Another man's freedom fighter.

The year was 1989.Kashmir was boiling and I was 12 at that time. There were reports of Kashmiri Pandits migrating in large numbers.

Later we came to know what exactly happened to Kashmiri Pandits on the ground. Some went to Jammu and some to Delhi as Refugees in their own homeland.

Then became the slaughtering of the mankind.

We keep referring to them as Terrorists and I think it is appropriate when they call them as freedom fighters.Although the ethnicity of the terrorists are quite often different to that of the Kashmiris.

But its the Islamic call and all are mujaheeds attending to such calls.Since they have one identity and one cause, they are also termed as liberators or freedom fighters for the cause they represent.

The arguments are complex in nature. But in general since India's freedom struggle so many such freedom fighters like Sardar Bhagat Singh who was apparently termed as terrorist by our very own Mahatma Gandhi,Nehru and many leaders of that era.He is now hailed as Martyr freedom fighter.

There are many instances in history where roles are two different sides of the same coin.

Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King and many more were they terrorist?.The answer lies in the fact that were they fighting against oppression or were they disturbing the general law and order.

Prabhakaran, was he a terrorist? or someone fighting against the oppression of Tamil people in the north of Sri Lanka.Well there was a tangible scale of oppression in the north of Sri Lanka and he was fighting this oppression.

So I believe India should talk to Pakistan, ofcourse with a flogging stick against terrorism, cross border terrorism.

The caveat ought to be that the State sponsoring the terrorist activities should not feel victorious. We sponsored the bloodshed and it pays.

Nations should engage in dialogues valuing the human factors and human lives. Nations should not talk to each other when one arm twisting and practicing the policy of thousands cuts and bleeds.
